Not only did we make countless product videos at Quirky for retail purposes or videos showing our community what was happening with their inventions. We created a fun calendar around fun events that occurred during the year.

Valentine's Day was one of these events, and we wanted to create something provocative and unusual for our social media channels.

3D printing was in its infancy, and as a business, we were at the forefront of using this technology in our day-to-day workflow. We wanted to show our community how easy printing something as simple as a human heart was. Our lab technician and product designer Andrew Brace is the mad scientist replicating his heart on one of our miniature 3D printers.

This video only had a few shots and edits, but what I love about it is the haunting music and sound effects; it isn't what you would expect from a consumer product company for Valentines Day content.
