Speed is our weapon

Our designers and staff at Quirky operated at a rapid pace during product development. The company's goal was to make invention accessible for our community of inventors. To scale the business successfully, we needed to keep our community satisfied by bringing as many products as possible into our pipeline.

This strategy had its advantages and disadvantages. With a community of 1 million active participants, we could leverage their insights for quick research on product decisions. To showcase our speedy approach, we created a video that captured the highlights of our fastest "from sketch to store" products. Notably, we managed to develop a smart lightbulb for GE in under 100 days, a feat they were unable to accomplish themselves.

While moving at such a rapid pace, we encountered challenges in maintaining quality. As a company, we made necessary adjustments and implemented a "sprint process" for specific projects, allowing us to balance speed and excellence effectively.
