adidas + Coca-Cola logo

Coca-Cola and Adidas (two of Fahrenheit 212’s main clients) came together to create a product portfolio of new-to-market beverages. Despite operating in fundamentally different industries, both brands find themselves in a favorable position with a strong consumer base and shared values. Although each brings its own unique capabilities and category expertise, the time has come for these long-standing companions to take tangible action together. Below are a few of the ideas created during my time at Fahrenheit 212.

Created at Fahrenheit 212, NYC

THE FIRST WORLD CUP BEVERAGE

As the World Cup drew near, Coca-Cola and Adidas, being official sponsors, collaborated on an innovative concept called 'Mondi.' This idea gave birth to a line of healthier, natural sodas that were specifically designed to align with the flavors associated with the teams participating in the tournament. To add a personalized touch, each team had its own dedicated cans and bottles, featuring the image of their star player as the bottle number.

‘O.T.’ THE REDBULL ALTERNATIVE

Adidas and Coca-Cola created OT, an energy drink to rival Red Bull. It featured a funky club vibe with glow-in-the-dark inks and rubber grips for simultaneous dancing and drinking. Inspired by Missy Elliot and hip-hop culture, the pack sported a playful backward baseball cap design. OT contained Ginkgo, caffeine, guarana, and slow-burning protein for lasting endurance without crashes.

‘PRO’ PROTEIN FORTIFIED WATER

Adidas Pro introduced a novel Protein-fortified water to the market. The packaging boasted a highly functional design, featuring informative sports icons and science-based graphics. The addition of bright colors and clear panels enhanced the product's appeal and conveyed a sense of refreshment. Complementing its visual appeal, Adidas Pro carried a compelling tagline: 'You are only as strong as your weakest drink.'

‘TANK’ THE STRONG WATER

Making performance nutrition more accessible involves separating it from its connection to bodybuilding-specific products like shakes, powders, and bars that emphasize calorie intake. In contrast, Tank is an advanced high-performance drink that uses Amino Hydration Science to constantly supply amino proteins. These proteins are vital for building stronger muscles.

‘SPORTSPA’ A LIGHT SPORTS DRINK

'SPORTSPA' is a collaboration between Adidas and VitaminWater, combining expertise in body movement and nutritional wisdom. This sparkling spring water blend, infused with Scandinavian minerals and sophisticated flavors, is designed for yoga sessions and light workouts. It promotes self-care and personal growth, both inside and out. Sportspa is high in antioxidants, low in calories, and perfect for rejuvenating moments.

Partnering with Coca-Cola offers Adidas the opportunity to go beyond apparel and footwear into everyday intake.
